i lowkey might have just found one of my new favourite japanese restaurants, and it’s located right on york st (super close to town hall station)! more importantly, its also approved by snorlax HAHA their nigiri is some of the best i’ve had - their aburi salmon was soo tender, and so was their wagyu beef ! i was obsessed with the flavours too <3 their sashimi - oh my god. the texture was so perfect? literally not mushy at all, so so so fresh and the chewier ones also had perfect texture. most of all, their oysters? LITERALLY HUGE. so creamy, and the dressing was so tangy. im actually obsessed and i genuinely think its good value - you get 14 pieces of sashimi and 2 huge oysters for $40, which is so worth it their chilli garlic butter scallop was so good - the scallop itself was already tender and delicious, but that sauce was a GODLY pairing. i seriously dipped everything else in that sauce becuase it was so good. their spider roll was also delicious; the soft shell crab was super crispy and the sauces were great ! last but not least, perhaps the dark horse, was definitely the cold soba. it was literally so refreshing, and even when i was full, i couldn’t stop drinking the broth. genuinely so thirst quenching, and the texture of the noodles were perfect too. i couldnt recommend a dish more when its summer ! in addition to all of that, the atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect too. they have rooms with tatami floorboards, and the inside perfectly incorporates japanese cultural elements. if you want to be briefly transported to japan, you should definitely check out sushi & grill ! <3
I really enjoyed the Chef's bento set. The salmon and tuna sashimi are very fresh. The set has a good mix of food for people who want to taste everything; gyoza, karaage, edamame, miso soup, grilled salmon, plus rice to fill you up. I will definitely be coming back often.
I ordered the sashimi bowl at Sushi and Grill on York Street, and it was fresh, generous, and really satisfying. The fish had great texture, the rice was nicely seasoned, and the whole bowl felt like good value for the CBD. Service was quick and friendly, making it an easy and tasty stop for a lunch break.
Incredible waitstaff who were so lovely & truly went the extra mile for a birthday celebration. Food was fresh, would definitely recommend the Salmon Lover combo. The Pink Lychee Lemonade was one of the best drinks I have EVER tried as well. Would recommend!

The bento box is really value for money and the food quality is good. The udon is a bit on the expensive side given the small portion size
